Hiking at Mt. Emei, enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of western Chengdu Plains and much more!

The best time to visit is from May to October. Winter is not impossible, but still present some trekking problems-iron soles with spikes can be hired to deal with encrusted ice and snow on the trails. Snowfall generally starts around November on the upper slopes.

Upon arrival at the Chengdu airport, your local guide and driver will meet you, and drive you back to the hotel.

 Mt. Emei Hiking

Drive to Mt. Emei, and we will begin our hiking from the Baoguo Temple. Arrive in Wannian Temple in the late afternoon. We will enjoy the beautiful mountains as well as the Baotuo Temple, Wannian Temple, Qingyingge Pavillion and Monkey Kingdom.

Hiking for today: 3 hours

 Mt. Emei Hiking

Today the hiking will turned out to be a bit difficult because of the deeper stage and longer trail. But the scenes will be more beautiful and quiet. We will enjoy the Xianfeng Temple, 99 Bends, etc. Arrive in Xixiangchi in the late afternoon.

Hiking for today: 5 hours

 Mt. Emei Hiking

Today we will continue our last hiking. We will cross the high altitude virgin forest and arrive at the Summit of Mt. Emei, Jinding. Here we will enjoy both the huge Golden Buddha and Cloudy Sea.  Enjoy the beautiful view along the mountains.

Hiking for today: 5 hours

 Mt Emei / Leshan / Chengdu 

In the morning we will take the private car to Leshan. We will visit the largest stone statue of Buddha in the world – Leshan Buddha, which sits in the turbulent joint of three rivers. We will take a River Cruise to enjoy the wonder of “Mountain is a sleeping Buddha and Stone Buddha sits in its heart “. Drive back Chengdu in the late afternoon.

Black Taxis and Vans

Probably the first scam you will face begins at the airport or train station with the black taxi drivers - people with unlicensed vehicles that will offer to take you to your destination. Anyone with a Western face will almost certainly be approached by someone coming up to you and saying Taxi! Do not even talk to these people. At the train station, follow the Taxi signs outside to find a line of legal taxis, and make sure that they start the meter when you begin your journey.

At the Kunming international airport, directly outside of the arrival terminal you will find a line of legal taxis to take for the trip into the city of Kunming. If you have any doubt as to whether it is a legal taxi or not, check the license plate on the back of the taxi. Around some hotels, airports, bus stations, railway station, you will find some drivers can speak a little English and let you take their cars with lower price, because they  use the "Black Cars". Do not take these cheap cars, they do not buy any insurance for the illegal vans and not get the certificate of tourist van from the government, especially you can not get a good service from them.
